iGugu Sustainable Freedom Project exists to provide survivors of Human Trafficking and community members/at risk persons with skills development (sewing and small business development skills). The project assists with poverty alleviation in providing a means of income and the ability to reintegrate back into society with their dignity restored and as fully contributing members of society. The iGugu Project takes place at the MeCAHT Reintegration Center in Cape Town, South Africa and every product stands for another step toward sustainable freedom.
This an urgent call out for the donation of an industrial overlocker for iGugu or for funds towards the purchase of one. They go for about R 15000 second hand and we need two machines.
Although iGugu is going from strength to strength and the programme is going well, in order for iGugu to meet the needs of providing a suitable income for our team of survivors, we need the industrial overlocker/sewing machines to complete bulk orders. We will be going into a big production for a partner over the next few weeks and industrial machines are critical to the success of this order and will help to secure future orders with this partner in the US as well as other future partners.
If you would like to donate an industrial machine or anything that would assist iGugu, such as excess materials, cottons, material machine cutters, please feel free to email [email protected] or to make a monetary donation if you are having difficulty donating via the link (for some countries aren't able to via this link), please feel free to deposit into:
