I am seeking any assistance available to help me get dentures so that after 45 years, I can finally feel comfortable smiling in public, laughing without covering my mouth. I have never in my life had a photograph taken where I am smiling. I work with the public in healthcare, and I focus each and every day on talking without allowing my teeth to show, I have managed to get most all of my teeth extracted, which causes a problem for the 10 year old partial that I wear as it has nothing to adhere to so it constantly slips and falls. I suffer from a condition that caused my teeth to be very brilttle and have actually had them break off, just simply brushing them, When I was younger I actually overheard a familiy member telling another, "theres no reason to waste money on a pretty smile on such an ugly child". Im tired of hearing people tell me to smile in photographs, It is causing me to slowly slip into depression, as I just cant seem to find a way to put money aside in this economy, to get this completed. I want so desperately to be able to laugh and smile in public. I give seminars on customer service in healthcare and sometimes after giving my presentations, I will just find a place where I can be alone and cry due to being so stressed over trying to give a successfull presentation without allowing my unattractive mouth to show too much. I have recently been turned down for what would have been my dream job, because "you just dont have that welcoming smile that we need for this position" Please help in whatever manner you can. I am so close to being able to achieve this but just cant seem to find a way to get there.
