Croatian badminton association for Daniel

INTRO

Croatia Badminton Association started a project to overcome the qualitative gap towards the world's top class badminton.

One of the main parts of the project is engagement of a young and promising player from Asia that will raise the quality of the training process to the next level.

First part of the project has been accomplished, because during summer preparation Aria "Daniel" Dinata joined the Croatia badminton association.

To secure his stay in Croatia and further development of the project we need your help!

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

All the funding we get from this campaign will be used for 2 basic needs:

- securing the conditions for life in Croatia and development of badminton community in Croatia

- costs of training and competition, especially international competition

ABOUT DANIEL

Aria “Daniel” Dinata is 19 years old. Born and raised in Indonesia, world badminton powerhouse. In junior age he achieved excellent results on the national level. Since his life dream is to compete on the Olympics, we decided to join forces to make his and our ambition to compete in the Olympics a reality.

And another, maybe even more important task, would be that his long-term stay in Croatia would give a high class training environment for all promising Croatian players.

ABOUT US

Croatian badminton association was founded in 1991. and immediately joined the founders of the Croatian Olympic Committee. Badminton was introduced to the Olympics in 1992. and immediately achieved its global promotion. And all this is not surprising given the fact that the number of registered players is among top played sports in the world. In Croatia it started as a very popular recreational sport and spread quickly to all parts of Croatia. In the meantime the association was building competitive badminton. Ever since being founded, our association has been a part of all international associations and international competitions. As greatest result in Croatia badminton we can mention the gold and bronze medals from the Mediterranean games and the gold medal in European champions U17.

These results were accomplished with long-term engagements of experts from east and north of Europe and Asia, yet one goal is still left unaccomplished and that is qualifying for the Olympic games. Few players were close to qualify but the ruthless qualifying system proved to be an obstacle we still didn't pass. We want that Croatia has its representative in Olympic games and get closer to top players in the world.
