Last July 22, 2021, my mother, Lourdes Ludivina M.Sarmiento, was rushed to the hospital because of a bad fall, which caused to bleed profusely. Emergency care was administered. After that, she was admitted for observation. Blood test was done and the result showed that her complete blood count was low. Blood transfusion, using up 3 units of blood, was needed. In order to know the reason for her low hemoglobin count. Abdominal CT scan was made, and they saw a mass. Because of this, her doctor has decided to do a colonoscopy and it was confirmed that there was indeed a mass obstruction in her colon and her doctor suggested for her to go an operation called anastomosis.

She underwent operation last August 3, 2021. She developed pneumonia after the operation that’s why they did swab testing to check for COVID 19. She became a positive COVID 19 case last August 9, 2021 and was transferred to the COVID zone of the hospital.

On August 12, 2021, my mother had MI and she was needed to be transferred to the ICU room in the COVID zone. As of the moment, my mother is still on the process of recovery. As of now, August 24, 2021, our running bill is Php 1,392,920.38.
