Hope for Madilyn

My name is Dani, I am the owner of Daisy Lane Photography in Southern Oregon. Just one short week ago, I was cuddling baby Madilyn while shooting her newborn photos, admiring her tiny nose and tiny fingernails, her adorable baby fuzz on her sweet little shoulders. When I heard the horrific news of what happened to her on April 2, 2013, my heart instantly broke.  

While awake, Madilyn had several spells of no breathing and would go limp. She was sent to Doernbeckers Children's Hospital in Portland, OR, where she is still undergoing lots of testing, including MRIs, EEGs, EKGs, lots of blood work, spinal taps and the medical team is reviewing family history of seizure disorders and checking to make sure she doesn't have menengitis, checking for infections, and making sure her brain is fully developed. 

Madilyn is was just taken off of the ventilator today, but she is still on a feeding tube and recieving oxygen. She is in the PICU at Doernbeckers, and once Madilyn becomes stable she will be placed in a room on the medical floor for at least two weeks to make sure that she will remain stable. 

Her mother, father, and her big sister are all staying in Portland with her as well while she is there. This family is a great family, and I would love to be able to help raise money for them to help them pay for medical expenses that are building up from Madilyn's stay at Doernbeckers Children's Hospital. ALL donations raised will go directly into an account for Madilyn. Any amount will help her and her family while she is on the road to recovery.
