Hong Kong Coptic Orthodox Church Serving Local Community

St Thomas church was established in Hong Kong since 2004, that is 18years serving the Refugees and local community in HK.

For the last 4 years and since Fr Dawood became the first permanent Father serving the Church members in HK, we were blessed with more families and new members joining our church from different nationalities and countries including Ethiopia, China, England, Australia, Taiwan, Philippines, Egypt and Hong Kong. Our church members have now grown to about 200 people praise God, however we do not have the space to accomodate this number in our small 50Sqm rented venue in Sheung Wan.

We are now looking to buy our own place with a bit more space to be able to serve our community and continue to build on our services to our congregation which includes regular masses, Sunday schools, Hymns classes, language courses, summer activities, bible studies and shared services with sister churches.

Everyone knows that HK is a very expensive place and we are looking to put a deposit down of about 800,000 USD towards this new venue in Chai Wan.
