Stari Glog in Croatia is a small village where Valentina grew up. 20 years after leaving home, she has decided to grow an organic farm on the very same fields where she used to play.
The current vegetable garden, orchard, hens and roosters are being looked after by her parents and neighbours. The plan is to introduce honeybees, build a small production kitchen for jam, honey and chutneys; and introduce further fruit trees, nutritious shrubs, and herbs to the garden area.
The first step is to get beehives and the equipment for the little bees to flourish in the most natural way possible.
Honeybees will be looked after by the entire family. They will be housed at the edge of the nearby forest at the bottom of the orchard, beside the lively hens and roosters.
Thank you for contributing and hope you can come visit Stari Glog soon!
