Historical Dream Home

Hello all!
My name is Dereck. I am seeking some gracious donors to help me complete a life long dream of mine.

I have a passion for preserving history, because I think it is very important for future generations. Ever since I was a young child, I have wanted to take over my grand-parent's 1891 victorian style home to preserve it.

Along with lovely child-hood memories, this home has significant historical context with the town's beginnings. This historical home needs to be preserved, and my dream is to make that a reality.

I have focused much of my life around the idea of one day purchasing this home. I have worked hard with my career, saved money, and prepared for being able to properly maintain this home.

Several years ago, I made an offer to purchase the home. My grand parents were not ready to sell at the time. Life events of two beautiful daughters depleted most of the money I had saved to make a down payment on the home.

My grand-parents have dropped a bombshell on me this past week stating they are seriously considering an offer on the home, and that I had until the end of September to make something happen. This was not something I was expecting.

Unfortunately, I won't have enough by then to make this dream of mine a reality. I normally would not ask for assistance, but I fear I will not get another opportunity. I also fear that any new owner will not truly appreciate the home, and love it with the same enthusiasm that I would.

I do have savings that is still growing, but need help off-setting what I don't have. I am very gracious for any contribution.

Large donation donors will be honored with their names on a plaque as key contributors along with the historical history of the home which will be located in the front of the home for people to see.

All donors are welcome to opt-in on updates on preservation projects regarding the home once it is acquired.

I have included some photos so you can see the current state of the home in question. It has been cared for very well, and I want to give it many more years of love to preserve it.
