Campaign Story
The only Dumper Truck the sanctuary has is a 1948 model. It has to be hand cranked and the bucket will not tip so everything has to be shovelled in, moved and then shovelled out again. The sanctuary is run almost single handedly by a marvellous lady called Lynn Tudor. She is no longer able to start the dumper herself so has to rely on a family member or volunteer coming and starting it for her. This means she cannot even be sure of using it on the day she needs too. I know we will not raise enough for a new truck for her and so this appeal is to allow the purchase of a key start used one. Hillfields is a very special place, it is a refuge to over 300 animals, most rescued from difficult circumstances and it is their forever home.
