High Arts at New York Summerfest

High Arts follows Kevin as he walks in carrying a stolen four-million-dollar painting. He and his friends don’t have many options. Revealed through smoking sessions, ballroom dancing, psychedelic trips, and a radio that nobody listens to, High Arts brings the stoner genre to the stage as Kevin and his friends grapple with the presence of the famous painting and their own ideas about the accessibility, relevance, and policing of art in its many forms. Like the playwrights, these twenty-somethings are enjoying themselves, making art, and getting by. This is who art belongs to.

High Arts is up for a run at the New York Summerfest! We have a venue and an incredible creative team, but we still need more resources for this all to come together. Throw our creative team some love ($$$$$) so we can give you the best show possible. Through the New York Summerfest, our production has the potential to gain awards and recognition, and a higher quality budget allows for a more colorful production and comfortable production process. We want to give you a show that's worthy of the occasion!
