Campaign Story
Most esteemed reader and friend!
I hope our letter finds you well indeed! We certainly appreciate your time, and interest, so very much!
We are appealing for your sorely and urgently needed assistance in a very urgent matter indeed.
Your assistance is needed to give our 9 (now 11) year old son, Henk van Noordwyk, a chance at receiving the best care currently available to him, within our medical insurance's reach, to rectify his idiopathic scoliosis. Standard Growing Rods. The first surgery was completed successfully! He will need more surgeries in future
More about Idiopathic scoliosis:https://www.healthline.com/health/scoliosis
Henk has an S shaped curve in his spine. If not surgically corrected, it will severely impact his mobility and eventually restrict the functioning of his heart and lungs. He will most probably end up in a wheelchair and die at a very young age, if he does not receive surgery.
We are a working class family and will need these funds to deal with co-payments seeing as our medical aid only covers 80%.
We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts, for any financial assistance that you may afford us, to make constant care and further surgeries possible.
We will be eternally grateful for any support you may offer, and admire your empathy and compassion!!!!
Thank you, kindly, and God Bless you and your family - always! God bless Israel!
Best regards,
The van Noordwyk family.
If you would like any more information about Henk’s condition, please don’t hesitate to get in touch: [email protected]
Thank you 🙏🙏🙏

Hi everyone! We have come to know about a new surgery in Israel. Apifix. The Dr asked me to send am MRI of Henk’s back to see if he qualifies. We aren’t nable to do this due to major cash flow problems. The Apifix procedure now has FDA approval in America and they have started using the procedure recently. We have an international medical aid, which means that we have to pay upfront for MRI’s and the like, and then the international fund partially reimburses us. To make cash flow possible I will need to transfer the funds in this account to a fluid account from which I can pay cash for all Henk’s medical needs and then claim it back and keep the money in the fluid account. Please let me know if anyone has a problem with this! Kind regards, Noeline.

Henk needs surgery NOW!
Update posted by Noeline van Noordwyk at 02:43 amThe time has come. Henk needs surgery. The ASC surgery we were hoping for is out of our reach. There is however another new option, Apifix, in Israel. Our medical insurance should cover the medical costs. All we need now is money to get there, eat, sleep and travel too

We are here in the process of negotiating with our international medical aid for full financial assistance with the procedure and hospital costs! Should this be successful I will post the exact costs to be covered by our medical aid and deduct that amount from this fund raiser. Hopefully this moves in the right direction fast! We will keep you updated. Things slow down over Decembers.... God bless!
