Help us start a film studio to create more upcoming films

Background

I am Nguyen Hoang Phong, co-founder, director of photography and producer of Jack Carry On. Me and my team started making films when we were still ninth graders. After eight years of blood, sweat and tears, we have achieved certain success. We were chosen to represent Vietnam at ABU Digista Teens project hosted by NHK Japan. Also, we have won many film making contests in Vietnam, and the most recent one was the prize for best film in Sci-fi Project 2014.

Although we earned a good deal of achievements, we have been struggling to go professional. We have a large number of problems with image-building and getting equipment. Budget was one of our biggest problems when we decided to create our own studio dedicated to film making.

We were creating our own green screens, “inventing” our own simple gimbal, using a motorbike as a slider, and many more. We are low on funds and have to rely mostly on post-production process. In fact, our computers could not handle heavy visual effects because of obsolete hardware. You may find our visual effects impressive and stunning, but those often take us about six months to one year to render and finish. Furthermore, because we did not have our own studio, each member of the team would have to work at his or her own house. Thus, it created the separation between members, and it was not a professional way of working. Also, because we could not reduce production time, we could not release our films as often as we would like to.

Purpose

The purpose of this campaign is to get your support. We cannot keep making films without budget. We used to get help from our friends. However, they could not support us forever, and some even told us to quit. Nonetheless, we cannot stop making films because it was our only dream and passion. Will we regret if we give up after getting this far? It was a question that we never want to answer.

Investment

We promise to use your donations carefully and wisely. All of your donations will go straight into our production. With your help, we will be able to work on an action film project with mind-blowing visual effects that we have been planning for a long time. The expenses we need to improve our production will be listed below:
