Please help save me. I am a puppy with an embedded collar.

Hi everyone,

This is the story of two beautiful sweet-natured puppies (one female and one male) who were

abandoned here in the High Desert about half a mile from my home. When I came upon them a

few months back, my neighbors told me that someone had dropped off four puppies to basically fend

for themselves out here in the open desert. According to my neighbors two of them got killed on the adjacent

highway and the other two survived. Out of the two surviving puppies, one of the them has an embedded

collar around her neck which the person who abandoned them never bothered to take off.

The collar is cutting deeply into her, and she is walking around with a painful infected and open

wound around her neck. She needs to be taken into a vet as soon as possible to get care.

My wife and I have been feeding these two dogs ever since we first saw them, even though they were

very shy at first and ran away. Since then they have slowly started to trust us, so much so that they

followed us onto our property where we have been feeding them ever since. They are feral in the

sense that they can't be pet or touched, but they have good depositions and should have a very good

chance at being rehabilitated. We are raising money for the female dog's vet care and after-care and for the

re-socialization of both dogs. Please open your hearts to this worthy cause and be a part of it. We are trying

to do everything in our power to get the female dog vet care, which is very expensive, so that the embedded

collar can be taken off and the wound around her neck can heal, and to give these two formerly abandoned
