Those of you who knows me would know how much space Leo occupies in our hearts. He is such a gentle, warm, clingy, and lovable furry friend that brought so much joy into our lives, and the lives of those around him

excuse our faces, but this was us on Leo's 3rd birthday

On Sunday (Aug 2nd), we found out that Leo had a heatstroke, which led to an acute kidney failure. He was taken care of at home for the next 2 days, and was then admitted to the hospital on Tuesday (night of Aug 4th)

It broke our hearts when we heard Leo had a heatstroke, and it hurt even more when we found out that he needed to be taken care of at the hospital. The vet told us that if his condition is not improving, his parents might need to make the hard decision of letting him go to reduce his suffering :(

They took another blood test today to check on his recovery and progress, and although his condition is improving, he is still in critical condition. Leo is staying at the hospital until Monday for another blood test, which will determine whether his condition will ever improve and he can go home, or again, making the hardest decision of letting him go.

The past few days, we witnessed Leo gaining his strength back, and we really hope to see Leo being as active and clingy as he used to be. We miss hugging and kissing Leo, and though this might sound mean, we miss bullying Leo and making fun of him.

We choose to stay hopeful, and we believe that Leo can recover!

His family often says that "Leo is our family's answered prayer" and he definitely has been one of the greatest blessings not only in their lives, but also mine..

I am creating this gofundme page in hope that this can help lighten the financial burden on Leo's hospitalization and recovery cost, regardless of the amount. How I'm feeling right now is probably just a fraction of what the family is feeling, and I hope we can help them, together, not only financially, but also in prayer.
