Hello to everyone!

My name is Julia.

I live in Cyprus, love animals, and try to help them to the best of my ability.

Perhaps you already know (or if not, you could google it) that there are almost twice as many cats in Cyprus as there are people. And because of this number, it is very difficult to create better-living conditions for all cats. Occasionally people feed them, which is great, but unfortunately, it does not cure feline diseases. Cats, big and small, fight for territory, mother-cats abandon kittens, weak and sick babies die in pain and torment. Finding a home for each kitten also seems like an unrealistic task. Therefore, I believe that sterilization with a subsequent return to their native habitat is the best option. But doing it for more cats means spending more money (one sterilization costs 40-50 euros). Now more than 20 cats live around my house and in my yard, among them there are very small ones, abandoned by their mother-cats, also slightly older ones, who will soon grow up even more and begin to fight with adult cats for territory. The females will give birth to new kittens and the problem will only get bigger and more difficult to handle.

Let's get to know them a bit better:

Local mother-cat Slu. Pregnancy is her permanent state. Most of the kittens are her kittens. The rest were brought by other mother-cats and left them here alone.

Cream and Fly are surviving foundlings. Unfortunately, two of their brothers did not survive.

Fly needs medical attention with his nose. I'm healing his eyes, but his nose still looks sore. He is so talkative and loves to purr and to be petted.

The five smallest from Slu: 2 black, 2 black and white, and Jdm (because it has short legs like munchkins).

Jdm is very very shy, I feed her separately and a couple days ago she started limping - a medical examination is needed.

From the previous litter of Slu. I'm helping them since their first days (Slu got into my car that time and gave birth there):

Kamysh. He is so fluffy and likes to play with toys, but looks like he has the flu or something with his nose like Fly. Sneezes constantly.

Hulk. The most loving. He is so friendly, always asking to pet him.

Gucci. She has a short tail. Beautiful humble girl, who is friends with Fly, they love to play together.

Forest. Super playful and energized, he asks to be petted with a specific flip to his back.

Rusty. Because of the color. He is still afraid to let me pet him, but he likes to play in the distance with a laser cat toy.

Coal. So brave and cute, he came first to connect with me.

Unfortunately, they lost their little white sister, she was the bravest one, but then she disappeared.

One more kitten about their age: Pipette. He was thrown by a non-local cat, Slu hissed at him, he was very afraid of everything and was very embarrassed to eat with the others, I fed him separately and he coped, still shy, but noticeably stronger with age.

Big gray Major Payne. He looks like a boss in the neighborhood but at the same time he is so cute and friendly, sometimes even letting me pet him.

He and Two other big black and white cats constantly arrange fights for territory until they bleed (one black and white has a neck wound).

Also from time to time other cats come to eat or to find shelter. There is winter now in Cyprus, which means that it is very cold at night and it often rains. And I made small shelters for them with wind protection and warm blankets inside, but I would like to build a real shelter for them away from the road. I have one place in mind for this, there are already concrete slabs that can be used. I hope all my cats will survive this winter and if they are sterilized until spring they will be able to live together and not fight each other.

I ask everyone who is not indifferent to help me sterilize them and cure them (there are lame ones, injured and a few with sore eyes and noses), any amount can help. There will be full transparency in terms of how donations are used. I will post all receipts. Please give these fluffy lumps a little care and love, maybe some of them will even manage to find a permanent home. At the very least I will be able to cover expenses to heal them, sterilize and build a simple shelter from rains and sun. Please share with friends and everyone who is interested, my kittens and I will greatly appreciate any help. Thank you ♥

A few weeks ago, Hulk stopped eating, it looked like he just wasn't hungry and that he came only for cuddles. It turned out that he had a fever but only in a few days this festering wound became visible.I took him to the vet. Hulk got his own carrier. . . . .

With the arrival of spring, I noticed that three of my cats had bald spots.I asked the veterinarian about this and showed him pics and the doctor advised me to treat them for fleas, which I did.I'll keep an eye on them, I hope that medicine helps.

First what I wanted to tell you is that I was a volunteer for a few weeks. I contacted a few organizations, as I told you before, and finally, someone really needed my help. I was helping to catch feral cats for sterilization. I realized that I'm not a pro. . . . .

The other day I was in The Cats Cafe and heard a tiny but familiar meow from aside, I went towards and saw almost a movie scene: Hulk limping towards me and looked like a few cats who walked with him tried to help him. This is how I found. . . . .

My christmas cats cards (with delay)

Update posted by IULIIA CHERNYSHEVA at 07:53 pm

The first thing I wanted to post here is that I'm trying to clean the area where my Cats Cafe is. And it is not easy at all. For now, I already threw away almost 4 125L plastic bags full of trash. I still wonder every time how people manage. . . . .
