Helping the Voropay Family

Last week the lives of the Voropay family changed forever. My dear friends received the devastating news that Anatoliy (Toli) has stage IV brain cancer. Toli was diagnosed with Glioblastoma after visiting the ER last week for a headache that would not go away. In a whirlwind of tests and hospital stays, this family has endured silently while struggling to make sense of the situation they are now in. Toli had brain surgery last week to remove the tumor but the surgeons were only able to get 80% of the malignant cancer and his prognosis is grim. This is not a cureable disease. The Voropay's have limited time left to be a family and Toli will leave behind not only Yev, his wife, but also 2 beautiful daughters.

To make matters worse, Toli was self-employed and uninsured. The family now faces not only the loss of their second income but also unsurmountable medical bills as the hospital stay, brain surgery, testing and ambulance bills start rolling in. I am very aware that our goal of 10,000.00 is only a drop in the hat, but anything helps. Please reach into your pockets and assist this family in their time of need. I do not want to see them stressing over bills during this precious time they have left.

Yev and Toli are the epitome of the American dream. They came here as adults with out the ability to speak English and only the possessions they could fit into their suitcases, and they built a beautiful life for themselves here in the states. Going to school, starting a business, and always doing what they could to help others around them also achieve these dreams. Toli is an incredibly healthy, loving, and hardworking, husband, father and friend. It is absolutely tragic that this is hitting them now.
