Campaign Story
Mr Nurhasyim or known as Pakcik (formal salutation for someone older) Nurhasyim is a 76-year-old man who has an estimated total outstanding of SGD $18,000 owed to 11 Licensed Moneylenders.
Pakcik Nurhasyim is forced to juggle 2 Full-Time job as a cleaner which extends from 7 am to 11 pm, daily.
He took on the loans, not for himself, but to sustain his ill mother whom he cared for throughout the years.
His mother has passed on recently and he is now staying alone in a rental flat with no family members around.
Pakcik Nurhasyim came to EDUdebt seeking for help in hopes that we could assist him with his debt situation. Wanting to raise some awareness through social media, his story moved others, prompting us to run a fundraiser for him.
With his current outstanding and available income, we discovered that it will be a struggle for him to paydown the amount owed. Day in and out, pakcik Nurhasyim is only able to make minimum payments which only goes to settling the compounded interest each month.
Alhamdulillah, EDUdebt managed to assist in lowering his monthly payments towards his moneylenders via DRS(Debt Repayment Scheme).
This campaign, as hoped by many, is solely to assist him with his daily needs. Many believe at his age, it is certainly hard to take on two jobs.
Your contribution will help to ease Pakcik's situation and it will be greatly appreciated.
Your minimal contribution neither will make him rich nor make you poor. But it can be his aid to get on with his current situation.
We(EDUdebt) would like to thank all contributors in advance and wish all of you the best of health and wealth.

**all funds raised will be contributed towards his living necessity and living expenses.
