Helping my Ohana from Lahaina, Maui Wildfire

Greetings, dear family and friends,

I am Kathleen Alipio, niece of Elizabeth Alipio Calucag. Today, I reach out to you as I initiate this fundraiser on behalf of my beloved Aunt and her husband, who have recently faced a profound tragedy. The Lahaina wildfire, which swept through the area on 8/8/23, has left devastation in its wake, claiming their family home and all their possessions.

The historic town of Lahaina bore witness to this heartbreaking event, as families were rendered homeless, fleeing only with what they wore. While we are profoundly thankful that my relatives are safe, the weight of their loss is immeasurable. The very foundation of security and constancy has been shattered by this calamity.

In the wake of the fire's destruction, my Uncle and Aunt find themselves not only without a home but also without a means of sustenance. In light of these dire circumstances, I humbly appeal to your generosity for any contributions you can offer. Your donations will provide them with the essentials of life – food and shelter. Though we cannot fully replace the countless cherished memories that have been lost, our aim is to ease their transition during this trying period.

No donation is too small; every bit is immensely valuable. I also beseech you, irrespective of your beliefs, to keep them and the entire Lahaina community in your thoughts and prayers.
