Hi my name is Ivan Ueckermann and I am a wildlife photographer and conservationists.I have dedicated my career in the education of international guests visiting South Africa telling them about the importance of protecting our unique fauna and flora. My love for nature is massive and I am ready to start my dream!
My dream is to publish a book about Ducks, the book will be dedicated to the conservation efforts made protecting the wetlands regions in South Africa and the ducks that call them home. The book will retail in South Africa and the profits made will be given to Wetland Conservation Projects around South Africa and local communities surrounding these areas will also benefit , bird guides will be trained to educate the community in the importance of protecting there unique environment. Some of the running projects that will benefit with your support:
Smiley’s -Smiley Youths
Wakkerstroom Natural Heritage Association
Endangered Wildlife Trust (www.ewt.org.za)
Operation Snow Drop (www.snowdrop.co.za)
Marimba Project (Wakkerstroom Music Festival)
The reason for publishing a book is that it will be a long time fundraiser not having a shelf life, as long as the book is for sale these wildlife areas will benefit with a steady income being generated
I started this project in the beginning of 2020 but was unfortunately not successful in pursuing it, with the Covid19 outbreak I lost my job and thus my income with the international travel ban many of the wildlife conservation efforts and areas have lost their only income and If not support these efforts will be fruitless!!
If you make a R1000 donation then I will send you a signed Fine Art image as a thank you! (SA residents only)
Please help me by believing in my cause and lets save these wetlands and their unique residents! Even if they are only ugly ducklings
