Helping a Burn Victim

My sister recently had a house fire and has been in the hospital for just about a month. She was just moved out of the critcal care unit and has now been placed in the burn unit. She has severe burns and her return date to work is unknown. Her healing process is slow and it is unknown when she will be released from the hospital. She is currently trying to get EI however this process can take weeks and sometimes months. She is only going to receive 67% of her wages and after her rental payment, she will have minimal funds leftover. She also has a 15 year old son which she needs to support as she is the sole parent.

She is extremely stressed out due to her current situation and her financial worries are only making the situation worse. Our family has helped as much as we could however we are not in a financial position to carry this burden for her.

We are pleading to the public to assist us through this difficult time as we have nowhere else to go. We know this is a shot in the dark but are hoping for the best!
