Campaign Story
Most organizations that normally feed the homeless in Houston have stopped and closed their doors during this Covid-19 pandemic. Who's feeding the Homeless? No one?
We've decided to step up and step in to help by providing meals to the homeless.
We normally distribute lunches on Fridays at 12 noon around the city's homeless hot spots notably public transportation stations. Partnerships with Subway and Little Caesar's Pizza help provide lunch at discounts.
For $5 pizza purchased, Little Caeser's Pizza will match with a donated pizza. So a $5 donation can essentially purchase 2 large pizzas totaling 16 slices. At 2 slices per person a $5 donation can provide lunch for up to 8 people.
This month we are partnering with a local full service restaurant to purchase discounted complete dinner meals for homeless fathers to serve on Father's Day (all present women will be served also).
100% of your donation go toward purchasing food.
Your donation is fully Tax-Deductible courtesy of non-profit disaster relief organization Disastar (501c3).
