Campaign Story
On April 7 2023, Aria was met with an unfortunate bike accident on the way back to Singapore from Malaysia at 22 years old. Since then, he has had to undergo about a dozen surgeries. Due to the severity of the impact, Aria is left with an amputated right leg and two severed fingers. He is currently in rehabilitation to help him regain his mobility back and re-train his muscles after being in bed for months and recovering from his operations.
Seeing Aria in this state, we wanted to come together to give him a fighting chance to overcome this hurdle life has thrown at him. Aria has always been the tallest in our class and our beloved class clown. Ever since our secondary school days, he has had the great ability to cut through any tense moment with a joke (mostly inappropriate ones but it worked like a charm). In our eyes, he has always been our adventurous and cheeky friend, forever greeting us with a big grin on his face. But since this accident, we can prominently see how he has been robbed of his light.
His quality of life has deteriorated significantly, vastly different from the active friend we once knew him as. He is no longer able to partake in basic daily activities such as walking or writing due to the loss of limbs and fingers. Let alone the physical activities he has a strong passion for.
Aria cannot smile as bright as he used to, and we miss his smile. Because of this, we want to help Aria regain his strength. We want him to get back on two feet by raising funds for his finger prosthesis and a prosthetic leg.
Please help us to help Aria regain his smile, strength and a chance of living a fulfilling life that he has such a potential for. Your contribution will help Aria get back on his two feet (pun intended), and become happier and hopeful again. Thank you.
