Yondela Xuma (13) is a talented and dedicated dancer from Pretoria. Yondela and her dance team, from the Sinnoville Dance and Modelling Academy under the International Fine Art Association (IFFA), have been invited to take part in the European World Dance Grand Prix in Bologna Italy. The competition is a worldwide opportunity to compete against some of the best young dancers around the world. The competition offers Yondela the chance to begin making her mark on the global dance stage as she will be competing in acrobatics, contemporary and freestyle with her team. Receiving an invitation to this event is a testament to Yondela and her team’s hard work, dedication and love of dance. It is something that cannot be missed at this delicate stage of her dance career.

The costs of entering the competition, accommodation and travel for Yondela and her mother, who will accompany her daughter on the trip, have been factored into the funding goals.

You can help this talented and devoted young girl to follow her dreams of dancing on a worldwide stage by donating money to cover her trip and expenses. It would truly be a life-changing event for her.

Personal Profile

Yondela has always been the kind of girl to reach for her dreams. She has always set goals for herself that she has challenged herself to beat throughout her life. Beyond dancing, she always reaches for the stars. She is the Deputy Head Girl at her school and also been competing with other schools on Eisteddfod English Poetry competition since the age of 10 years after shinning as not only an academic star but a model young girl. She is kind, conscientious, caring, clever and extremely talented in dancing.

Yondela was always a flexible, active and rhythmically gifted young girl. Her mother noticed from the age of three that she was always moving around the room with the enthusiasm of a seasoned performer. She would put on little shows for her friends and family while begging her parents to let her start gymnastics lessons.

Gymnastics may not have been her calling, but the dance was. After going to the Sinnoville Dance and Modelling Academy to ask about modelling lessons it was the dance classes that caught her eyes. It took only one lesson for her to get hooked. She took to the acrobatic and ballet disciplines like a fish to water. She loved the motions of dancing as she flexed her body into poses beyond her wildest dreams. The expressiveness of dance hooked her, but it was the fun she had while dancing that cemented into her being. And it has only been just over a year since her first lesson, but she has come leaps and bounds as she prepares to go to Italy.

She is a lover of her friends, family, school and dance. She would appreciate any help that you can give her to make it to Italy. Let’s get her to Italy!
