My son Shelby has been having difficulty at home and at school, somewhat in part due to his ADHD. I found a program fairly close to home, and applied for his enrollment. After reviewing his records, they decided he would be a good candidate for their program, and they do offer financial aid to help with the monthly tuition. They don't however, discount the admission fee, which is due on the date of the intake interview. They have an opening right now, and scheduled the intake on May 12. I am working two jobs (about 75 hours a week) to be able to pay bills and make sure he can attend the program. I hate to ask for help, but I anticipate needing about $2500 by the 12th to be able to make the trip and make the admission fee and first month tuition. And short of selling a kidney, I don't think I can come up with it. If I can't get him in then, there are other kids they will place ahead of him, and until other spots open up, he is on a waiting list. He has not gotten in a huge amount of trouble yet, but I am afraid it is only a matter of time, and I am trying to be proactive by getting him into a program to turn things around before it gets worse. I have been a single parent for 11 years, and his dad hasn't paid any child support in 9, so I am in this by myself. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
