About our cause:

 

Unfortunately, I have been out of a stable-job (lately, in this economy, I’ve ONLY, been getting, part-time and temporary-jobs) for a while.

So, I gathered a couple of my friends who are unfortunately,  in the same situation and we brain-stormed!

We came-up with this solution:

We’re Apple enthusiasts, we’ve played with these Apple creations.

We’ve seen people’s advertisements, claiming that it’s pretty-simple to write Apps using Apple’s SDK (Software Developer’s Kit)!

There have been many who have become quite self-sufficient that they quit their day-jobs!

Why don’t we write our own iOS and Mac OS X Apps for money?

But, with little to no savings, we’ve tapped-out ALL of our resources, we’ve borrowed from friends and family.

So, we NEED your help!

• I used to be a Software developer and I have background in C and older programming languages.
• We have been out of a steady job for a long-time!
• We WANT to DESPERATELY be Self-Sufficient and NOT just, BARELY, making ends meet!
• With G-d’s help, our goal is to start working on these Apps, BEFORE, the OFFICIAL release of the next version of iOS (iOS version 6) and Mac OS X (Mountain Lion), so, we can compete with other App developers.

What We NEED:

The money we raise will go towards the following items:

We NEED to buy:

1. Subscription to Apple Developer programs

2. TWO Mac computers (ONE for writing Apps for Mac OS X and ANOTHER for TESTING the Apps), since Apple’s SDK (Software Developer’s Kit), ONLY, runs on a Mac OS computer!

3. An iPhone (for testing purposes to make-sure that our iOS App runs on BOTH an iPhone, WITHOUT problems)

4. An iPod Touch (to make-sure that our App runs on BOTH an iPhone and an iPod Touch, WITHOUT problems)

5. An iPad (For two reasons, a. to make-sure that our App runs on BOTH an iPhone and an iPod Touch, WITHOUT problems and b. to make the higher resolution version of the iOS Apps, specifically, written for iPad’s superior resolution)

6. Subscription to related magazine

7. Related conference tickets

8. At-least, TEN High-end (Comparable Apps) to see how our App stacks-up against other competitive Apps

9. College courses and related books to learn to write iOS and Mac OS Apps

10. Perks where applicable

11. Shipping costs for all the perks where applicable (domestic shipping included, international shipping not)

12. Repayment of our outstanding-loans for this project

13. IF NECESSARY, Hiring of additional staff to help write Apps to achieve our task within, the NECESSARY time

It SEEMS like, IF you use a CREDIT-CARD, it COSTS us, about $0.42 of associated processing and transfer fees, per EACH $1 raised.

(We base this, on the fact that in the FIRST few days of this campaign, we received 2 different donations, EACH for $1 and it COST us for EACH of those, $0.42).

So, we request that you help us an amount higher than $36, so, we’d be able to cherish your donation, greatly and thank you with a proper Perk.

*First COST: $0.42 of associated fees per EACH $1 raised, COST of $0.42 times $36 raised = $15.12

*SECOND COST: Perk of $5 Starbuck’s Card as a token of our gratitude of your donation, BESIDES, the price that we will set our FUTURE Apps

*THIRD COST: A FREE copy of our App (via a credit to The App Store) >>> DEPENDS on the price that we will set our FUTURE Apps and for the time-being, we’ll say, $0.99 as it SEEMS that it’s the minimum price we are allowed to charge, UNLESS, we’d make a FREE App which would rely on G-d graces to make-money from Advertisements

*** So, of-course, you get perks for your contribution (and most importantly, AFTER we have received Apple’s APPROVAL to list said Apps on the Apple App Store, you will get a FREE copy of the Apps via a credit to the App Store!).

But you also get the piece of mind that you helped us create Apps which assist humanity, in day-to-day tasks.

• Not ONLY that, but also, you helped a group of young-adults with families of their own, become Self-Sufficient, INSTEAD of just, BARELY, making-ends-meet in a more meaningful way!

• Costs for these materials depend on total donation amounts.  We’ve configured our campaign so that if we reach our goal, ONLY, about, 50% of the funds raised through this campaign, go into our project.
• If we exceed our campaign goals, at that point, since our COSTS lower, simply, due to the fact that we’d become more profitable, we’ll continue to add additional value in the form of perks and additional features.

• G-d knows that we are NOT seeking, in ANY way to turn this into a profit-making sheme / ponzi-scheme / fraudulant activity and we hope that in time, you’ll grow to trust us, too!

• G-d willing, that the day will come when our Apps are APPROVED by Apple and we start selling these Apps on the Apple App Store.

Some people just can’t contribute or that much, but that doesn’t mean you can’t help:

• We’d like to Ask you kind-folks to get the word out and (Either through YOUR FaceBook wall / timeline status OR via Twitter by tweeting your loyal followers OR via LinkedIn connections OR other LEGAL forms of the internet OR offline) make some LEGAL noise about our campaign to bring attention to it, so, others who are able to, would contribute.

• You can use the IndieGoGo share tools to get the word-out through FaceBook and Twitter for people to that we NEED, simply, EVERY Dollar to achieve this project!

• ***We do NOT CONDONE SPAMMING in ANY way and we DO NOT appreciate you committing ANY IL-LEGAL acts in ANY SHAPE OR FORM, as we request from you to spread the word in accordance with the Federal laws, your State, your County, your city, town, village or other applicable local laws!!! ***

With G-d’s help, as we get closer to our goal, we will set-up, FaceBook and Twitter accounts to update you and everyone else involved with all the developments and etc…

Question:

• When will we be sending the perks, you’ve earned?

Answer:

• After the campaign closes, we will NEED about a few days to about a week or 2 weeks, to make-sure that we have received the funds in our accounts, to tally the funds and make-sure that all the funds are available.

• Then, we will NEED, about a few days to a week, to make a list of ALL the kind-folks who have assisted us in this campaign with monetary assistance and have earned a perk as our way of showing our gratitude.

If we don’t reach our campaign goal, we won’t have the necessary funds to make iOS and Mac OS X Apps, before the next wave of Apps hit the market, within the next few months.

At times, IF, NECESSARY, we will have to cut-back from our day-jobs to achieve this goal within the NECESSARY deadline which will accrue other costs.

So, we MAY have to adjust the perks to reflect this increase in cost.

Distribution of Lower level perks in form of FREE copies of our Apps will be completed after we have finished the design of those Apps and as per Apple’s rules of Apple Developer’s Agreement, NOT BEFORE, we will NOT be ALLOWED to release ANY copies of the Apps to ANYONE in the public, other than our development team, BEFORE we have received Apple’s APPROVAL to list said Apps on the Apple App Store.
