Short Summary

Hello everyone, my name is Leida. I was born and raised in Oakland. I am trying to raise this money to pay some code violations to the city of Oakland before they put a lien in our home. I live with my mom and 2 younger siblings. We both have full time jobs, we are trying to keep this family together the best way we can, but we are barely keeping up float. We fought the bank for a load modification for 4 years, and finally settled last year. We have been current with all our payment. Recently, we found out that the detached structure in our back yard was build with out a permit.... before we purchased the house. Now, this burden has fallen on us. We need to pay for the violation and also pay for demolition. We don’t have the money to pay for none of this! We even tried to get a loan, but we were declined. Please help us keep our home! We would appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts.

What We Need & What You Get

We need about $2,000 to clear all of the violation, and that doesn’t include paying for demolition. I have a couple or months before worrying about the actual demolition. $1,000 are for all of the violation and $1,000 are for the demolition permit and the permits to cap off the electricity. If we cant reach our entire goal, whatever money we do raise will go toward paying the violations and try to apply for another loan for the rest. We cant lose our home.
