Please Allow me to introduce myself, I'm a 47 yr old white male with a family ,partner age 44, daughter aged 5, son age 15.

(Excerpt from My Turn - waiting to be murdered in south Africa.

Each night i know it could be my turn, or that of my families, what I don't know is how many attackers will surround my bed before I wake up,I lay in bed as the hours tick by and I wait, I don't want to be awoken by armed men ready to inflict brutality on my children, or myself.

As I try and calm my greatest fear, I listen for unfamiliar sounds, my heart pounds a mile a minute with each new unfamiliar sound.

Most nights I don't sleep, nobody sleeps, most nights I lay awake and think of a neighbour, perhaps a family member that was attacked days before.

How my world has changed.

I don't drive at night,we no longer sit in our gardens day or night.

How terrifying the shadows have become as they walk by my home.

How unnerving the voices in the distance are.

I listen to others around me,they don't say much, but the fear in their eyes reminds me that we are just waiting for our turn.

I live from day to day praying that my turn and that of those I love would skip us.

I know that when they do come for my family and me, we won't stand a chance against the fight that will come in like a thief in the night.

The numbers will infiltrate my home,my safe place when they come for us.

My heart is broken, my footprints are covered in the blood of people like me, I feed off the soil where blood has been spilled every single day.

It flows through our lands, into our rivers and dams, and hangs like a foggy mist in the air.

My president doesn't care if tonight is perhaps my turn.

Tomorrow morning he won't even know my name.

My life does not matter to my president, or to my country.

Tomorrow morning he will tell the world once more that there are no farm murders in south Africa, and my death or that of my children will be classified as normal crime.

Because I am white, my turn will come.)

For those who are ill informed or don't even know what's going on in south Africa, here is short list post 1994 elections.

  1. This government has taken whites jobs through BEE, barring whites from the work place, not allowing whites to be employed over blacks.
  2. Malema a racist in Parliament is allowed to sing "1 settler, 1 bullet" and kill the Boer, kill the farmer, and supply gang members with arms to kill farmers, and blacks can openly threaten whites and not get prosecuted as its not racist or harmful according to the racist human rights commission, but a white lady says the k word multiple times after just being hijacked and she is sentenced to over 2 years.
  3. hundreds of farmers and ordinary white citizens continue to be brutally murdered ,tortured, left for dead on farms, residential areas . smashed with spades, pangas, raped, tortured with hot irons, drills, nails pulled, poison sprayed in eyes, doused with petrol, kids tortured then killed.
  4. There are thousands of links to these brutal murders so if you have the stomach for it, please go to @SAgenocide on twitter whom I've been following for many years.
  5. Crime stats over 55 murders a day.
  6. No state hospital is functional, equipped, whites get ignored, mocked, left unattended and left to die. Have the pictures and links to these horrific cases of abuse and neglect.
  7. The education system is failing with its 30% pass rates, students (black) are becoming increasingly violent, raping other students, bringing knives to school. Attacking teachers.
  8. The lies told by our government to international communities just to score funding is beyond comprehension.
  9. They are corrupt, thieving liars, stolen funds from every government department leaving it all bankrupt, SAA has had several bailouts, sabc is bankrupt, eskom, petrosa, denel, praza, post office, they now are aiming at stealing peoples pension funds in a game of who can steal the most money the fastest.
  10. Our dams and most rivers are polluted with raw sewege. Nobody cares to rectify it.
  11. The economy is on the brink of collapse.
  12. Land stealing from the few whites that own land, not to give to any poor black person but to score it for the rich few.
  13. Whites are being milked for being the highest contributors of tax, they are forced to pay higher prices for electricity to subsidise the ones who refuse to pay ( Soweto who owes billions for unpaid electricity) whites have to pay R140 for their I.D's, while blacks pay just R30.

Whats happening in south Africa is true, and its very real. My greatest concern is the out of control crime which effects us everyday, the constant stress of living here behind several layers of burglar bars, fences, that are not enough to save your life. I need to get my family out to a country of safety, my kids don't go to school , we have no enjoyment of life outside of our home which has become a prison.

Leaving every morning to go to work when jobs are available, some days further than a hrs drive from home and coming back late in the evening is hellish.
