- We are a family of 5 who were suddenly displaced from our home in Oregon. We moved to Washington state to stay with family temporarily. My husband is currently a college student who has a great career opportunity in Texas. We have scraped together just enough money to be able to transport our things, our kids, and our only vehicle. We've had to part with our beloved family dogs because we are focused on rebuilding our lives and we cannot find a place in Texas that will allow three pets within our intended budget. I personally deal with the effects of mental illness. My sister, who I've been separated from for 14 years, lives in the area my husband plans to work. She will be there to help me live a quality life. Unfortunately, her home is not large enough to accommodate our family. So our wish is to raise funds to afford temporary housing and expenses for one to two months. My husband is absolutely employable and we do not need more than a few weeks before we're on our feet again. He has a highly lucrative job interview on July 30th and our kids would start school in the beginning of August. That's why we are in a little bit of a hurry to get down there. We plan to live in Texas permanently and give our three kids a stable life with extended family nearby. Thank you for reading.
