Help Us Help Bear

Bear is one the sweetest and gentlest dogs I've ever met. He was found by the wonderful people at Posh Pets Rescue in Long Beach, New York after his previous owners tied him to a pole and abandoned him. Bear had a bad case of seborrheic dermatitis when he was found. Mellie McClellan and the Posh family took care of Bear and helped him improve enough to eventually get adopted by David Aponte. David knew when he adopted Bear that his condition was going to require continuous medical treatment, but he also knew that he had found his best friend when he met Bear, and he was willing to take on the challenge of Bear's condition. Unfortunately, unforeseen circumstances in David's life, combined with a downturn in Bear's condition, have created a hardship for David. Bear still needs a lot of help, and a lot of love. David has the love taken care of. But he needs help with the help. That's why I started this campaign. Bear was one of my favorites, and one of everybody's favorites, when he was at shelter, and it broke my heart to see him suffering from his condition. Fortunately, it can be controlled with proper medical care, but that care is not cheap. David has already spent a great deal of money on Bear, and the costs have gotten higher recently as Bear's condition has continued to prove challenging. That's where you come in. Anything you can contribute will help. It will help a good man take proper care of a wonderful dog. Anything will help. Thank you.
