Welcome to Second World Interactive, where we make your experience, feel like a second life!
Who we are?
At Second World Interactive, we develop 2D and 3D games for everyone. We design, model, and release our own games with no help from third party companies. We are based in South Africa, Johannesburg, and only have 4 members as of now. We own licenses for a library of programs and game assets to help speed up our workflow, but unfortunately, can't work full time, as we are employed by other companies. Our salaries also keep our projects alive. We want to buy new equipment, new mid range computers and facial mocap systems and get people to help us out, employing other people onto our projects.
How will the funding help?
With the funding, we can afford mid range computers, these will be used for the programming side of everything, these computers won't be used for modeling and computer heavy tasks, meaning that our artists and programmers can run their jobs effectively. The facial mocap system is critical for realistic facial animations, we require this for a new recent project we are working on. We want to get new developers on the team, freelancers tend to charge a once off rate for programming of certain systems, thus hiring new developers that will help with the production of our games, meaning we can work more effectively and fluidly. Games being released = Steady income for our company, which would mean permanent work, not just for me, but also for our developers and artists working on the projects, which benefits both parties.
Every bit helps us, as mentioned earlier, we are a team of four people which a dream, all between the age of 20 - 24, we all have our different skill sets, which blends in with each other, and we would love to add more people to our team. We want to create, build, and move with time. We want to build a gaming company that could stand out and become international, but keeping its South African roots. Help our dream come true, help us achieve this wonderful dream, and make this hobby into a full time job. I thank you for your time, from the whole team at Second World Interactive.
