This is a charity campaign to help feed hungry Namibians during the devastating economic downturn due to COVID-19 outbreak as well as the overall economic hardships that the vulnerable members of society face. Help us feed the informal traders who lost their jobs. Help us feed the homeless, the jobless and the most vulnerable members of our society particularly those in the informal settlements.
Namibia is a country in the South Western part of Africa. Population is estimated at 2.6 million and approximately 1 million of them live in shacks in the informal settlements with limited access to ablution facilities, running water, electricity and most importantly food. Average amount available for food stands at approximately 15 USD per month. The youth unemployment rate stands at approximately 46%. Namibia's poor and inequality rate is among the highest with 28% poor while 18% are extremely poor.
