We're raising funds to build ramps at Springdale Gardens for disabled tenants who have been denied accessible units from management!
Tenants at Springdale Gardens have been trapped in their homes for years due to the lack of accessibility for the disabled. Management has been far more concerned with giving their tenants bogus lease violations and upcharges to even care for their mobility.
Together with tenants we will build ramps for those in need living at the complex.
This project is looking for funding for materials and labor; these funds will pay unemployed community members to help build the ramps for their neighbors in need.
Springdale Gardens proves that a well organized community can resist their landlord's oppression. The first item on their list of demands for the landlords has already been met: The firing of slumlord Regina Wright! But their work has just started and there is more to get done for this neighborhood. All excess funds will provide tenants with flowers and vegetables to plant and grow for their community, and any other tenant needs that arise.
