STOP CARJACKING

Carjacking is a barbaric and brutal crime that affects us all from family to the delivery drivers who drop off our goods and the rideshare drivers who provide us with such an essential service.

2m Solv (Pty) Ltd is a startup based in Johannesburg, South Africa, that has developed a permanent technology solution to carjacking, but as a small startup we don’t have the ZAR 5 million ($355,000.00) needed to build and test a prototype.

Don’t we already have panic buttons and tracking devices? Well, in 2009, the number of reported carjackings stood at 14855, after going down to 9417 in 2012 the number went up to 16717 in 2017 and 18162 in 2020. I think these official figures answer that question.

We estimate that these devices will retail between ZAR 4000.00 and ZAR 6000.00 per unit.
