Help us bring education and vocational skills to the young women of Nepal

This is your opportunity to shape lives and inspire positive change for those most in need - the children of Nepal. 40% of Nepal's population are under the age of 18 – that's a big chunk of the population! And with Nepal among the poorest countries in Asia, investing in these children & young women will change the course of this country's future.

We are on our 9-year streak of supporting these communities through fundraising and our annual volunteer trip. Many of you wonderful people have stood by our side each year contributing time, funds, and resources and as a result have impacted the lives of countless children & young women in Nepal - THANK YOU! For some of you, this might be the start of an incredible journey to help us on this mission - we need your help!

WHAT ARE WE DOING IN NEPAL?

This year we have 24 volunteers traveling in Nov 2023 and this is our plan:

We will be partnering with NGO Asha Nepal who are dedicated to helping survivors of trafficking and abuse across the borders of Nepal. They create a safe haven to house, care and educate rescued girls to help them re-enter the community with skills for work, healthy body and restored mind. Asha Nepal has most recently focused on building hostels for children in need in support of this mission. Half of our volunteer team in Nepal will be spending time helping with Vocation/Skills Training (Coding, Jewelry design), Coaching / Mentoring and improving the Asha Center (setting up a library, kitchen improvements, etc.).

We will also be partnering again with NGO Salvation Society Nepal who are a local community organization that provides at risk population support with health, education, agriculture and environment protection. This year we’ll continue to improve and fund the annual operations of the 20 child hostel we built in 2019 in addition to building a vocational skills training centre, level 1 was started last year in 2022 and we plan to start level 2 along with supporting some tech and leadership training workshops whilst we are there.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

Sponsor a Child:

$1,000 = A year of support for a child – covering food, shelter, education, clothing, and care. We've got 20 children eagerly awaiting sponsorship. Individuals, families, and groups – come make a difference to a childs life for a whole year!

Education and Building Essentials:

• $500 = Laptops (12 laptops for new training programs to be launched)
• $200 = Fencing for the hostel
• $150 = Fresh paint for the hostel walls
• $50 = Tools of the trade – wheelbarrows, picks, shovels, and paint brushes
• $20 = Bricks for constructing the kitchen
