Help us be KIDSATIONAL!

WHAT WE ARE DOING:

We have decided as a family to become Foster Parents and act as guardians to kids who have lost or been taken away from their parents for whatever reason. Most of these kids have been neglected and abused, have medical issues, behavioral problems, developmental issues, emotional struggles and so on....  Our goal is to be able to take same gender children or sibling groups and provide a safe, loving and supportive environment for these children while they battle the turmoil that they are facing in their family lives.

HOW WE ARE DOING IT:

We have the spare room - but nothing to put in it yet! We want to furnish it with bunk beds, dressers, rugs, books, curtains etc. When they arrive in our home we want it to feel like this is a place that was designed just for them and they can be safe and comfortable in their environement.

HOW YOU CAN HELP:

We are asking our family and friends to help us by donating to our KIDSATIONAL fund. This money will be used towards the items we need to make this a reality! We are also open to taking donated items. There is so much that we would like to have on hand becasue we will just never know what age, gender or how many children we could be asked to take at any time. For those that know us well - you know we both like to be as prepared as possible :)

WHAT WE NEED:

Everything! These kids will show up in most cases with what they could throw into a garbage bag on their way out the door. These are some of the things that we will be purchasing with these funds or are looking for donations of:

Bunk Bed with Trundle; 2 Twin Mattresses; 1 Full Mattress; Boy & Girl bedding for each bed; Pillows; Waterproof mattress covers; Chest of drawers; Oversized bean bag; Lamps; Extra Blankets; Books for Ages 0-18; Personal hygene items.

Stuff for Babies: Crib, carseat, high chair, swing, stroller, toys etc.
