Hello All,
My name is Aaliyah, and I am asking you to help a person that always help others. Her name is RaTasha "Pony" Williams, and she needs help with furthering my Son's education. Pony has gone into debut helping patients with Sickle Cell. She has given her last dollar over and over again to better the lives of people who could not fight for themselves. Pony now needs us to fight for her and her son. His name is Burnette Williams III but we call him Tre. He is 19 years old and graduated from Ruskin High School in 2017 with a B average. Tre is a great humble young man. He received excellent recommendations from 6 of his teachers and his principal. He receive a few scholarships including the 3.5gpa and A+ award. Tre graduated from Herndon Career College majoring in Culinary Arts as he was graduating from high school. Students normally enroll in this after graduating high school trying to find their path. At the age of 12, Tre decided he wanted to go to college. His eyes and heart were set on MU but he got a great opportunity to attend Johnson & Wales University, aka JWU, in Charlotte, North Carolina for Culinary Arts. Since JWU is out of state, Tre cannot use his A+ scholarship. It can only be used for in-state tuition. JWU's program allows him to earn his Associate's and Bachelor's in 2 years.
Tre did such an amazing job at JWU he was accepted to participate in Disney's Culinary Arts internship. Finding out Tre was accepted to such a prestigious internship was a joyous occasion. It is a 4 month program and not a lot of people receive this opportunity, so we were very proud to find out that he was picked. They had to send a non-refundable registration fee of $400 if he accepted it, which he did. Pony and her husband applied for student loans but were denied due to their credit scores and have to pay out of pocket. Christmas 2017 Pony became sick and was rushed to the hospital. The doctors informed her that it was in her thyroid and it was indeed cancer. She already had not worked in over a year due to her battle with ovarian cancer. Two weeks after Pony's surgery, they received a invoice in the mail saying that, with late fees & interest, they have a past due balance of almost $10,000. $9,615.97 to be exact. Pony reached out as son as she got her voice back from the surgery to see if there was some way to add it to his payment plan. The school replied that there was a hold on Tre's account, housing, and his internship. The past due balance had to be paid in full by August 3rd or he could not check into his Disney internship on August 6. If Tre does not do his internship he does not qualify to graduate in May 2019.

Pony knows what it is like to grown up having to put your dreams on hold to take care of your sick mother. She does not want this same fate for her son. The balance owed does not include next year's tuition of $32,091.00 nor room and board, which averages to about $12,000 every 3 months for a total of $42,514.97. We have a young black man that's wanting to further his education and do better. He should not have to suffer because of his mother's illnesses. This is how you can help. We are trying to focus on the $10,000 that is due August 3, 2018. If you cannot donate money, help finding scholarships are warranted too. BTW, Tre is a lefty. I am seeking help in any way possible so Tre can knock this internship out of the park, then continue his education and graduate in 2019. It takes a village to raise a child, and I am calling on our village so this young man can reach his dreams.
