In 2014 I volunteered through ICS a government funded organisation. I worked with woman and children with HIV and AIDs in a small village called Chikwawa in Malawi. I had the most amazing time there with all the beautiful, welcoming people of the community. I made friends with all the children there outside of my work we would play football and draw. My best friend there was a tailor called Shadreck Peter. He was always there for me and shared what he had with me. We stay in contact through facebook and since then I have sent him money to finish building his house. He recently messaged me and told me about the problems his community faces regarding food and jobs. He told me how he has some land that he would like to build an irrigation farm on that would help with these two issues. Here are some words from Shadreck :
Iam Shadrick Peter, age 24, from Chikwawa Malawi in Lower Shire TA Katunga in Mwita Village.I have credit in agriculture from Malawi School Citificate of Education(MSCE) in 2014. I have big land with fertile soil along Shire River(it hold water through-out the year) for farming.I plant Maize & Beanes.I used to planting this crops at quarter of land due to lack of financial funds to buy seeds, chemical & work payment. Through irrigation farming its only best way to fight hunger that attack my community every year. This farming helps to haverst twice/3time per year. My community would get benefit by the following ways; providing job opportunity on farm, crops would be donated to vulnerable people & poor families. That's why I am asking your help on this cause.Your help would save people's life. May God bless you for your help thank's.
