HELP TO SAVE MY EYES!

Hello everyone, my name is Jamile Tamara Akkari, but you can call me Tamy. I am 25 years old teacher, and was studying Law at college with the dream of becoming a police officer. Unfortunately, I had to put my daily life, career, studies and my dreams on hold due to what I am going through.

I have type 1 diabetes, and I have been insulin-dependent since I was 8 years old, which has always been a great challenge for me. However, now I am facing the biggest challenge of all. Due to complications from my disease and a disappointing public healthcare system, I am losing my sight.

I have diabetic neuropathy and diabetic retinopathy. After waiting four months for treatment through the public healthcare system (SUS), which is free but slow, I have lost vision in my left eye, and my right eye is already compromised. There are still more than 520 people ahead of me just for the consultation, and after that, I will need to wait even longer for the treatment. Unfortunately, time is crucial, as my condition is already quite advanced. To avoid total blindness, I need to undergo six injections of EYLIA in my retina and laser treatment. However, this treatment is very expensive in my country, and neither I nor my family have the financial resources to cover it. Despite all our efforts, we are not able to raise the necessary funds. The initial cost for private treatment is approximately R$40,000.00 (excluding exams).

I am pleading for your help to avoid going blind. I have always been a girl full of dreams, but I feel them slipping away more and more. I am filled with immense fear of not being able to see things anymore and not being able to do all the things I love

Olá a todos, meu nome é Jamile Tamara Akkari, conhecida como Tamy Akkari, tenho 25 anos, sou professora e curso faculdade de Direito com o sonho de ser delegada, mas infelizmente tive que parar com minha vida cotidiana devido ao que estou passando. Sou diabética tipo 1, insulinodependente desde meus 8 anos de idade e isso sempre foi um grande desafio para mim, mas agora estou passando pelo maior deles! Por complicações devido a minha doença, estou ficando cego! Tenho neuropatia e retinopatia diabética. Em quatro meses esperando o tratamento pelo SUS (gratuito) terminei de perder a visão do olho esquerdo e o olho direito já está comprometido, ainda há mais de 520 pessoas na minha frente apenas para a consulta, depois é esperar preciso mais tempo para o tratamento (tempo esse que segundo todos os especialistas não posso esperar, pois já está bem avançado) para evitar cegueira total é necessário fazer seis aplicações de EYLIA na retina e de laser, um tratamento que em meu país é muito caro e nem eu nem minha família possuíamos esses recursos, mesmo fazendo todo o possível não estamos conseguindo arrecadar esse dinheiro, pois à princípio o tratamento inicial pelo particular fica no valor de R$40.000,00 (fora exames ).Por favor, peço que me ajudem a não ficar cega, sempre fui uma menina cheia de sonhos e tenho sentido eles cada vez mais distantes, com o medo enorme de não poder enxergar mais as coisas e de não poder fazer tudo aquilo que amo!
