On 14th February, my little angel Léna was born. It became apparent very quickly that Léna was having trouble with her feeding and breathing. She was born with a condition called TOF/OA (Tracheo-Oesophageal Fistula and Oesophageal Atresia). The condition affects Léna’s windpipe and food pipe. It is very rare, occurring in between 1/3500 and 1/5000 births. Within a few hours of Léna being born, she was rushed to Bókay Clinic to have major surgery at only one day old.
We are wanting to raise money for the neonatal Department in Budapest because our beautiful Léna was rushed there to have a life-saving operation. From the moment we arrived, every member of staff from then on was so kind, caring and compassionate to our fears and worries. The care that our daughter was given for the weeks she was there to recover were beyond more than we could ever have asked for. We would like to raise as much money as possible to help towards the incredible work they do so they can continue their support for other families like us.

Update posted by Hanna Novoszath at 07:52 pmWe went to the clinic for a 6 month checkup. I met some NICU nurses on a hallway. They told me Lena was the noisiest newborn in the unit. :)https://www.facebook.com/gyermekklinika/
4moms swing
Update posted by Hanna Novoszath at 02:12 pmWhen Léna was born, she had no meconium in her diaper, because her bowel system wasn't working properly at that time. Therefore, in order to facilitate the digestion of the food, I always put her in the 4moms swing after breastfeeding. Unfortunately, she will soon outgrow it. #4moms

This month is to raise awareness to everybody on what the NICU is there for, and it’s importance for helping not only premature babies, but unwell full term babies too. Let’s raise the best awareness we can 💕
