Help Svetla get a MSc degree in Nanoarchitecture

Hi everyone!

I am a graduate student of architecture financially struggling to continue onto post-graduate level. I have been incredibly lucky to have been educated at liberal arts Vassar College, New York USA, followed by a RIBA architecture degree at the Glasgow School of Art. As expected, creative fields education is incredibly tedious to go through, due to the constant financial difficulties creatively-inclined people tend to face. Coupled with being from a former Soviet block country (Bulgaria) originally and from a very low-income background, I have been supporting myself since the age of 13, prior to moving to the US and then UK. I am currently stuck in between graduate and post-graduate level and my professional development has come to an involuntary stop due to severe financial difficulties. These were exacerbated by the fact my mother passed away from lung caner 3 years ago which left the entire family in debt for cancer treatments. As a result of all this, I am unable to neither license as an architect nor continue onto post-grad level.

As it is my sincere aspiration to ultimately obtain a PhD in nanotechnologies and their application in Architecture, I am therefore currently in the search for funding for the MSc degree in the UK. The UK was chosen due to the more affordable educational costs and also due to the renowned technological and human resources in higher education. I have been accepted both in the Bartlett and Architectural Association Schools in the UK - both very prestigious and technologically advanced in the design fields.

It is therefore my hope that I will be able, in the near future, to pursue the so desired MSc degree of Nanoarchitecture at one of the above institutions with the assistance of generous and equally forward thinking people, as nanotechnologies have been the wave of the future ever since the 1950s and find numerous applications in all spheres of contemporary life, ranging from design to technologies. It is my sincere aspiration to be able to explore the application of nanotechnologies and robotics (and maybe even possibly quantum computing!) in the fields of design for the rest of my professional life, which is only possible if I am enabled to receive high-quality postgrad education.
