We CAN fight the COVID-19 virus from spreading but only with YOUR help!

South Africa – the land of the ‘Have’s’ and the land of the ‘Have Nots’. Help our most vulnerable communities protect themselves, their loved ones and those around them during this time of COVID-19 Lockdown.

Keeping the COVID-19 virus at arms-length is an impossible task when you’re living with extended family in a shack measuring no more than 3metres by 3metres. Not to mention having to share toilet facilities with up to ten other families whilst at the same time having no readily available access to water.

The Order of St John is a global health impact non profit with a national South African footprint. We need your help in providing as many cloth masks to these vulnerable communities as possible, Cloth masks for the millions of Mum’s and Dads, the children who have no-where else to play but the dusty walkways between shacks and the Gogo’s (grannies) and grandpa’s who find themselves trapped with no real way of avoiding the spread of this life altering virus.

We are currently producing cloth masks, utilising the skills of seamstresses in these informal areas, providing them with vital income, whilst they provide their communities with the ‘cloth armour’ essential in this war against an invisible killer. St John Community Health volunteers are currently working in many of these marginalised communities, putting their lives on the line to provide essential COVID-19 screening and hygiene education. They also deliver chronic medication to residents ensuring that they don’t have to leave their homes, risking their health and that of those around them.
