Campaign Story
After losing her cat (and best friend) to the incredibly awful FeLV, a very close friend of mine adopted and fell in love with a kitten named Starling. She did so only after months of grieving... Her animals are her life. Her point of survival. Everything was and is, linked to their happiness and health. To say she loves them, would be a great understatement.
Last night, in what could have only been a terrible accident, we presume little 7 month old Starling was knocked over by a car. Somehow she used her remaining strength to make it home, back to safety - all with a shattered pelvis and abdominal hernia. And today we're sitting here, hoping/praying she makes a full recovery.
A recovery that is going to take two seperate surgeries. One to fix the hernia and one to fix her pelvis. Both of which add up to around R30k. So while we wait for her strength to improve, we're faced with the daunting task of finding those funds (in a year where everyone's savings are non existent).
Which brings me to this: if, in the unlikely event, you are in the position to help - I ask if you could please donate. Every tiny bit helps enormously. Every tiny bit gives Starling another chance. A chance at survival, and a chance to become an adult. And even if you aren't in the position to donate, I ask that you please keep Starling in your thoughts 💛
