help save our little Darla

Darla was the first of 4 puppies born on May 25th 2015. She was the biggest and most developed. After a week we noticed she wasn't feeding from mom properly and she had started to loose weight. We then brought Darla to the emergency vet clinic to see what was wrong. They did a full work up and on examination of her heart they noticed a very strong grade 6 heart murmur. We then we're refered to a cardiovasucal specialist in Edmonton to properly diagnose her and their findings were very saddening. It was then confirmed that Our little angel has one of the more severe heart murmurs that needs surgery to correct, and a prognosis of 6-12 month life expectancy without this. At only 1 pound 5 ounces the surgeon recommended the surgical ligation considering her size. This procedure will cost 3500$. This is including all consultations, surgery, sedation, aftercare and a follow up. Please help us raise this money. We are a family of myself and husband, daughter with another baby on the way and one income. This little puppy is energetic, full of life with a spunky personality considering her prognosis and her condition. This was not her fault and Darla deserves a full life and this surgery will allow her to live one to the fullest. I'm pleading for help. Darla is almost 2 months old and early heart failure will start at 6 months. We need to get her this surgery asap ..thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
