Hey everyone, Mushu needs some help!
Here's my story..
Mushu is an amazing cat, I've had him since he was a tiny kitten. I was also a kid then. He is now 15 years old and still going strong, minus the fact that he's had this ongoing eye issue that I've been treating him for months now. It's not getting better. Basically it's glaucoma and a developed ulcer. He's on 4 different meds, 3 times a day. Along with wet food every time he gets the meds. Well, now Mushu is blind in his right eye, it's painful, and it's not healing after daily meds and weekly vet appointments. He even had a surgery a week and a half ago (with no sedatives because he's just that awesome). That was the last resort, and it didn't help at all. My pockets are drained between all the vet bills, meds (one was over $100), and cans and cans of cat food. At his last vet appointment they say his eye needs to be removed.. Pirate Mushu! And if he gets the surgery, no more eye issues, no more meds = a very happy kitty.
Now why is Mushu so special other than him growing up with me like a brother? Well he's this rare hypoallergenic breed of cat, a Russian Siberian. That means when I have guests over that are allergic, they can still enjoy my sociable, friendly, gentle giant of a cat.
He loves everyone and everything, and still has a bunch of life in him, so he needs to have this surgery.
I hope to have enough money by next Monday (5/13) to get the surgery, but it's definitely a lot. I've asked my friends on facebook if they could help, and some of them has given me some canned cat food and coupons which is soooo appreciated since all my money is gonna go to his surgery.
But what I really need is financial assistance with the bill.
If anyone wants to help, his vet is Manchester Veterinary Clinic, 156 Spencer St, Manchester 860-646-5170. It's Mushu, the Russian Siberian. Just let them know you want to donate some funds towards his eye surgery.
Also, any donations I recieve in excess of Mushu's bill, I will donate to my veternary hospital to help other animals in need.
But seriously, even if you can just have him in your thoughts and send positivity, that would be awesome too!
Much love everyone!
