Campaign Story
My name is Iona and i am 13 years old. I am writing on behalf of my beautiful dog, Dynamo. Dynamo was born in Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, and is a gorgeous 7 month black Labrador puppy. We rescued him in July from a breeder the day before he was due to be put down because he was born with a hernia. He quickly became part of our family, and we paid for an operation to remove the hernia, and all was well and joyful for a few months. This dog has the most beautiful personality. Then, on Christmas day, he got ill with a swollen. bloated tummy. The vet put him on medication and drained 2.50 liters of fluid from his tummy. That seemed to work, and all was brilliant after that for a while. He is so clever and funny and joyful. Sadly, and scarily, though, he has developed a bloated tummy again, which makes it hard for him to sleep, and the Vet has said he now can't be sure what is causing this potentially fatal condition. Apparently the only way to find out is to conduct a series of tests, and then have exploratory surgery. But if the swelling gets too big it can crush his heart, ribs, organs etc,. We have run out money. Dynamo doesn't have much time and we don't have the money. Feeling very scared and upset, because he is the most special dog ever. you would so absolutely fall in love with him. Please help us to help him live... he is a bundle of pure, innocent joy. He is my best friend and it would change me as a person to lose him. Please help.

Blood Tests have been Done and The Problem Identified - Now an Operation is needed!
Update posted by Iona Murland at 10:38 pmBlood tests came back conclusive that Dynamo was born with a congenital condition know as a liver shunt.
