On June 7th, Sam jumped over the fence in our backyard and ran off. Thankfully we found him an hour later, however our relief was short lived. Unfortunately, Sam was hit by a car. Due to the impact his femur pushed against his hip and broke it in 4 parts. The hip injury will require surgery to remove bone fragments and to conduct a FHO (Femoral Head Osteotomy) to alleviate the pain when he walks and allow him to live a pain-free life while retaining his ability to walk.
We are here to ask you for your help. We need to raise money in order to cover the costs of both surgery, as well as the physical therapy Sam will need in order to feel comfortable using his leg again. Surgery should happen within the next 2 weeks, but we would like to do it as soon as possible.
Sam has been with us since he was 2 weeks old and we really would like to keep him as healthy as possible. We've seen Sam grow into an energetic, happy dog and has been very hard to see him in pain these past few days. If you can, please consider donating. Even if it might not seem like much, any amount makes a difference!
Thank you SO much for reading this, any help is greatly and truly appreciated.
