Hello everyone. My name is Rikki.
I am 20 years old (almost 21), and I am a junior at Chapman University studying screenwriting with a minor in health science. This past year I decided to make the decision to study abroad in Seville, Spain for the Spring semester of 2017. My dream is to become fluent in Spanish, a major part of my culture that I've never been able to fully grasp. What better way to learn a language than to fully immerse oneself in it?
I've been fortunate enough to continue to attend Chapman University mainly due to academic scholarships, outside scholarships, and small loans. Unfortunately, said scholarships due not cover the full expense of room and board while abroad.
This is where you can come in. Room and board is definitely not cheap. It's often why students choose to live off-campus, but I do not have that option in Spain. I'm about $5,000 short and scholarships are not the easiest to come by, so I can't afford it. With your generous support, I will be able to travel to Seville, Spain and immerse myself in the Spanish culture for four months.
