Campaign Story
This is a message for all the hard-working people who try to help others have a better life. This person lost everything as well as being falsely accused of a white-collar crime and sentenced to 300 months (25 Years) in Federal Prison. Not accounting the incompetence of the Attorney and the lack of defense efforts who was intoxicated during trial proceedings. The Judge on the bench knowing he was intoxicated allowed the Attorney to proceed to represent Rick.
Rick was not allowed to have another Attorney and wasn't allowed a competent defense to present significant testimony, documentation or witnesses to show his innocence. Going through all the documents a team of Legal Professionals has found many serious mistakes and errors which should have been addressed and grounds for a mistrial. Rick and many others remain committed to clearing his name.
Rick has been a kind, loving, caring, and God-fearing husband, father and grandfather with 3 children and 8 grandchildren. Recently, a new great grandchild made him a great grandfather! Rick met "Deb" his high school sweetheart 41 years ago and they have been a loving couple ever since.
Deb is physically disabled suffering from what is called "Charcot foot" She has broken bones in her ankles and feet. She lives day to day with excruciating pain and limited mobility. Her daily life is very complicated without Rick's help. Deb has also lost everything because of this unjust matter.
It is our mission to get Rick released from prison and back home to be with his family, friends, and grandbabies, most importantly, to be there to help and care for the love of his life. Rick has never lost faith, he has never given up his fight for the truth and justice in this case. Rick has always been a law abiding Christian and now finds himself for the first time innocently incarcerated.
This campaign is to raise funds to retain a law firm to review his case and to take legal action to request the courts to release Rick so he may finally go home after almost 7 long hard years in prison. We may need specialized Attorneys. They all cost money. All monies raised will go to pay legal expenses and Attorney Fees in our quest to exonerate Mr. Young in this unjust matter.
As we make payments or have specific goals we will update this campaign.
Your help is greatly appreciated!!! Thank You
