Help Raymart Buy Food & Shelter Rent During COVID19 Outbreak

via Facebook message: "..the very first time our government announced that there will be a Community Quarantine, they told us that it will only be for two weeks or 15 days. Unfortunately, it was extended for two more months. I never expected that this will take too long so I decided not go home earlier in our province. I got stranded in a place near from work but cannot go to because all Malls are closed are they are not gonna pay us. No work, no pay. With my small amount of savings, I tried to be positive that this will end soon and I can make it even without or far from my nearest family members. 2nd month of Home Quarantine came, the landlord is already asking for my rental pay. I don't even have penny on my pocket coz I'm only relying on what the local government can provide (relief goods, like rice, canned goods and noodles.)

Even with all of this obvious problems, the landlord ask me to leave the apartment because I cannot the rent for those two months and it's not even my fault. Good thing is, someone with a heart of gold helped me on the time I have no where to go. She let me stay on her apartment without advance and deposit payment.

Just last week, the president announced that there will be another extension for the quarantine. With no work and money I don't know how I can pay the bills and buy goods anymore."

Brandon's Note: After understanding Raymart's situation, I asked him how much would be sufficient to get you on the right direction for food and shelter?

He was reluctant to answer but said, "5000?" in Philipine Pesos. That is equal to $98.57 USD. I said to him that that is a very low number for a fundraiser. How about 16,000 Philipine Pesos (Approx $300 USD). He said it is too much. I insisted, however, and he was excited to share any excess with fellow citizens who are also stranded.

Fund Usage: All funds will be sent via Paypal XOOM, converting USD to Philipine Peso in the transaction, accumulated in this fundraiser. Raymart has a bank account in which he can receive the money. I will try to post a screenshot of money sent, as I am able. I'd like to send many transactions so he has a steady flow of support money, instead of waiting for one lump sum. He will need to eat. He was living on one meal per day the first time we spoke about his crisis.

Vetting: I have followed Raymart for many years. I enjoy other cultures and smiled many times watching his silliness on Facebook. So, it was heartbreaking to see such a kind and positive soul sitting on the street surrounded by his belongings. It broke my heart. I was in his shoes as an American. It is the most lonely, hopeless feeling you can imagine.

As of 5/24/2020, all money (minus fees subtracted by Paypal, GGF, and Xoom), has been sent to Raymart :)

As of June 5th, all donations I'm able to send have been sent. I have a donation under the minimum for Xoom that I can't send yet. I will wait for other funds and send later.
