Help Rahma & Her Children Evacuate from Rafah

My name is Sarah Hartzell. I live in the United States, and am hosting this fundraiser on behalf of my friend Rahma Wajid Al-Najjar. This fundraiser is created with the purpose of raising funds to help Rahma and her two children afford food and basic essentials in Gaza, cover evacuation fees, and help with cost of living expenses post-evacuation. Here are her words:

“My name is Rahma Wajid Al-Najjar. I am 30 years old. Yes, I live in a very small tent and the condition is very bad. The number of members of my family is 3, me and two children named Nasser and Qasim. I do not have anyone injured or disabled, thank God.. My family and I are struggling to evacuate as quickly as possible.. At the beginning of the war, my sister’s house was bombed over their heads, and my niece was martyred and my sister was injured while she was pregnant. Also, my sister-in-law’s entire family, 23 people, was martyred. My house, my family’s house, and my sisters’ house were bombed. We now live in a tent in a very bad condition, and we suffer from a lack of water and food, but what matters to us is safety. We want to evacuate from Gaza for the sake of my children. This is what I want.“

“This is my sister's destroyed house, which was bombed over their heads. My sister's daughter, her name is Jannah, she is 4 years old, was martyred. My sister is pregnant and has an injury in her lower back. She cannot walk or stand alone. May God help them too. My aunt's father, whose name is Tahrir, was martyred in this house and left behind 5 orphaned children.“

“This is how we live and how we wash and dry our clothes.”

“This picture shows you how we heat water so that we can bathe. We find water with difficulty, as I told you, and we light a fire more than once a day. My children have suffered from many diseases and eye allergies because of the fire fuel and smoke.“

The situation is becoming increasingly urgent. Food scarcity, lack of proper shelter, lack of basic personal essentials, plus the impending invasion of Rafah.
